Hadhley Refferal Health Center

The Himilo Action Group (HAG) has successfully undertaken the establishment of the Hadhley
Referral Health Centre to address the critical healthcare needs of communities in northern and
western Gabiley. This initiative was prioritized based on a 2022 survey identifying the urgent
need for a health facility in the region. Through a collaborative effort involving HAG, the Gabiley
Municipality, and the Ministry of Health, the project has progressed from planning to
construction, furnishing, and staffing, culminating in the official opening of the health center in
October 2024.

The construction of the Hadhley Referral Health Centre was completed with a total cost of
$127,602, with funding contributions from HAG members, the Gabiley Municipality, and other
partners. Following construction, the second phase focused on equipping the hospital with
essential medical infrastructure, including inpatient wards, a pharmacy, a delivery room, and a
laboratory.

The center has served a total of 9,135 patients since its opening, with women accounting for 58.6% and men for 41.4% of this number. In addition, 54 babies have been born at the center.
